Seems kinda odd to have a marathon of episodes that take place during the series's halfway point. Episodes 1-6 of Kill La Kill would be better to draw in any newcomers who heard about the show recently through a friend or anyone who missed there chance to watch them on-demand. Maybe it has to do with the contract and they can't air those early episodes anymore.

Other than that I just like SAO more and think its more accessible for those who rarely watch anime.

I was hoping they'd air Battle of Gods that night instead. Perhaps they still could for the 4th of July?

A part of me thinks that they'll save Battle of Gods until after they get through the Buu Saga, but I don't know if airing the movies before certain events in the show are aired matters that much to them when they aired the Broly movie back in December. It's more likely that they can't afford it right now. I'm sure that they'll try to get it on the air at some point since it is one of the most recent movies. Plus, I'm sure that they'd want to get both of the newest movies as soon as possible if they want to get Dragon Ball Super whenever that dub is available.

Anyone else noticed that both One Piece and DBZ Kai weren't brought up at the Adult Swim upfront. Not really concerned since DBZ Kai has been killing it in the ratings and One Piece seems to be improving.

Where did you find this? The only ones I can find just shows their comedy slate.

Dandy listed? Aloha Oe Yeah, Baby! - Wondering where the reruns will go and if they'll yet again start from the first episode. (which'd be the 4th time 1-13 get played as opposed to S2 still one showing each) - I'll likely record to watch later anyway.

As for not seeing DBZK and OP, it is rather strange, but it doesn't feel like either of them will be gone. If so, then DBZK's loss would be terrible, but again, don't see it. Final Act is listed as well which likely hints at a second showing of it - we're only 5 episodes from completion after all.

I'm sure that both DBZ Kai and One Piece are fine. Considering the huge ratings DBZ Kai has been getting, along with how Dragonball Super was announced recently, it would be a huge mistake to get rid of that series. One Piece isn't pulling out as huge ratings as DBZ Kai has, but they have been pretty good for the most part with some improvement, so I'm sure that it's sticking around too.

Space Dandy will most likely take Attack on Titan's slot once it finishes its run. I'd be kind of disappointed if Final Act gets another run, mainly because I would rather see something new from Viz instead of that series again, but they might save its second run for another time instead of going through the series right away.

Yeah, OP is my jam Saturday nights. Ratings seem to be swell, so not seeing it in "returning" was strange. The fact that DBZ wasn't listed either makes is a sign there's nothing to worry about, though.

I'm personally expecting to see them continue Bebop in HD once Attack on Titan ends.

That's certainly a possibility too. They have the rights to Space Dandy forever since Adult Swim was involved with its production, but I don't know how long they have the rights to Bebop in HD. They might want to air it first if they don't have the rights for it for that long. Plus, I imagine that they miss putting Bebop on the block.

Yeah, they haven't showed Bebop in HD yet and they have already showed Space Dandy before.

They started showing Bebop in HD a few weeks before the back half of the block was pulled. But yeah, the majority of the series hasn't aired in HD yet.

Funimation's teased a new Toonami title though from the sound of things it may be Kill la Kill's replacement instead of Inuyasha's

Well that should be interesting. I'm hoping whatever announcements they have will involve shows that I'd want to watch. Not caring for the majority of shows airing on the current lineup has really made Toonami dull for me, so having something that I'd at least would like to check out in the near future would be nice.
