if it was popular and still remembered in america, maybeDo you think MeTV Toons should bring over some older Canadian cartoons like The Raccoons?

Here's a question, how were the episodes originally aired when the show was in broadcast syndication in the mid-90s?Well, my prediction for how the second season of 2 Stupid Dogs would run was wrong. Instead of containing 1 Stupid Dogs segment and 1 Super-Secret Squirrel segment from the first season, alongside a Stupid Dogs episode from the second season, it contained three 2 Stupid Dogs segments (2 from the first season and 1 from the second season).
For those curious, here were the episodes that were shown yesterday: Jerk (Season 2: Episode 1)/Cornflakes (Season 1: Episode 2a)/Door Jam (Season 1: Episode 1a)
Wasn't it that way in the initial showings in the 90s?Well, my prediction for how the second season of 2 Stupid Dogs would run was wrong. This happens unfortunately kind of often, with Bugs Bunny shorts. I haven't seen it happen with anything else, but they in particular seem to get it the most. Since every show of Bugs Bunny and Friends will start an end with a Bugs Bunny short, and the 2 hour blocks usually have at least one in the middle, if not two, AND both of the Cartoon All-Stars blocks usually have at least one, AND most episodes of Toon In With Me usually have one... Yeah, they air a lot of Bugs Bunny throughout the day.Hare Trimmed has aired twice tonight.
It aired as both the last cartoon of Bugs Bunny & Friends, and the first cartoon of Toon In with Me.
Actually, contrary to some of my earlier statements on here (this is what happens when I rely on my memory and forget to fact check), according to some Usenet and Toonzone posts I've found, Super Secret Secret Squirrel was allegedly dropped in the original Season 2 airings. and the 2 Stupid Dogs shorts took up the whole half-hour. So, I think it's possible that these MeTV Toons airings were how they were shown on TBS.Wasn't it that way in the initial showings in the 90s?
Earlier on, a couple of the episodes would also sometimes contain 2 fifth season segments and one segment from it's original run or 3 fifth season segments in one half-hour. I haven't checked entirely, but I think the show switched to that format you described around 2000.When I Am Weasel became its own series, it aired one segment from the fifth season and the remaining two were from the 52 segments during Cow and Chicken.
I always scoff at ‘em for playin’ the crappy 60s looney tunes, but I appreciate that metv toons absolutely digs every crate given to it for programming, unlike OTHER cartoon networks.Isn't it crazy that MeTV Toons has aired about 800 Warner Bros. cartoons?
They are a 24 hour channel and love the Looney Tunes shorts... but I still find it crazy.Isn't it crazy that MeTV Toons has aired about 800 Warner Bros. cartoons?
Don't quote me on this, but I think I heard someone say that MeTV and MeTV Toons have both aired more Looney Tunes shorts than any network.Isn't it crazy that MeTV Toons has aired about 800 Warner Bros. cartoons?
