I really hope Weigel is able to go to MGM to get Pink Panther back. Maybe this time they can get Ant and the Aardvark too!

I don’t understand this.

This Saturday, they're going to show Yogi's First Christmas…which they showed last week (at a different time, but still). I know they’re better than this. They have other Christmas movies and TV specials they can show, so they kind of messed up here.

Oh, and for the record, they’re also going to show an hour of Bugs Bunny Christmas shorts (including Bugs Bunny’s Christmas Carol, a slightly longer one that was made in the 1970s) followed by two holiday themed episodes of Totally Tooned In.

  Everyone is excited for the school Christmas pageant until a ghost starts haunting at the rehearsals.
• 4:30 p.m. – Scooby Doo Where Are You? That’s A Snow Ghost
  The ghost of the Yeti interrupts the gang's skiing trip.
• 5 p.m. – The Jetsons: A Jetson Christmas Carol
  It is Christmas Eve in Orbit City, and the Jetsons are planning to celebrate it as a family. However, George and the other employees of Spacely Space Sprockets are hounded by the intergalactic Scrooge, Mr. Spacely, who detests the holiday season so much that he forces George to work overtime, late into the night.
• 5:30 p.m. – Yogi Bear’s All-Star Comedy Christmas Caper
  In this Christmas Special, Yogi escapes from Jellystone and hides out in a department store,

• 6 a.m. – Captain Planet and the Planeteers: Ghost of Porkaloin Past
  Hoggish Greedly inherits his grandfather Don Porkaloin’s estate. But when he gets a hotel, he uses the cover as a legal operation but is stopped by Captain Planet. The groundskeeper Boaris is revealed to be Greedly’s grandfather in disguise. After finding out what his grandson intends to do, Porkaloin (who is revealed to be one of the world’s top environmentalists) is disgusted and instead gives the estate to Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
• 6:30 a.m. – Caillou’s Holiday Special
  It’s a very special holiday for Caillou when he learns about Christmas traditions around the world and the importance of giving and sharing.
• 8 a.m. – The Cabbage Patch Kids First Christmas
  The Cabbage Patch Kids go to the big city so that they can find the Christmas Spirit.
• 8:30 a.m. – Casper’s First Christmas
  Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, Huckleberry Hound and more Hanna-Barbera characters get lost and decide to spend Christmas by visiting Casper, the friendly ghost. But soon they encounter a not-so-friendly ghost.
• 9 a.m. – Sonic Christmas Blast
  Sonic the Hedgehog must stop the evil Dr. Robotnik from ruining Christmas after Santa Claus disappears.
• 9:30 a.m. – Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas
  Inspector Gadget is off to the North Pole to stop Dr. Claw from taking over Santa’s elves and workshop.
• 10 a.m. – A Flintstones Christmas Carol
  Fred is cast as Ebenezer Scrooge in a stage adaptation of the story, but is acting a bit stingy in
  real-life.
• 11:30 a.m. – The Flintstones: Christmas Flintstone
  Fred is such a natural as a department store’s Santa that news of him reaches the North Pole, where Kris Kringle has him in mind for much more important work on Christmas Eve.
• 12 p.m. – A Very Merry Bugs Bunny Christmas

Interesting, it looks like Caillou could be option to replace one of E/I show in the future, also another one would be The Magic School Bus.

I really hope Weigel is able to go to MGM to get Pink Panther back. Maybe this time they can get Ant and the Aardvark too!

I believe that Amazon made this more difficult, so Weigel delisted many of MGM shows, except of Green Acres and Rat Patrol.

If Amazon streaming business slows or not enough viewers, so they could reconsider to put MGM shows back on linear TV.

WildBrain owns this as well. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if they actually air Johnny Test in the future. And now that we know they'll be airing a content from a preschool show ip that isn't tied to any of the big three franchises, I have a feeling they might even air Franklin in the future too

This is seriously concerning. I get airing SOME kids shows or at least recent shows that fit the mision (Mistery Inc) but this could turn Me TV Toons into yet another kids channel which could be a dead end for the network.

Shows after 2000s on MeTV Toons are very tiny when compared to 1920s-1980s, so they are almost always relegated to death slot on weekends and sometime, special block on Sunday.

Newest episodes on weekday schedule was 1996 - Captain Planet and the Planeteers.

MeTV don't have 2000s shows anymore and they have two 1980s shows with just 1990s episodes. MeTV+ have very handful of 1990s shows with 2000s episodes (VIP and Baywatch).

MeTV Toons is not marketed as kid channel, so it is just general like MeTV.

Why are you all shocked? You should be thankful! Caillou is just as well-received and respected as shows like Police Acadamy: The Animated Series and Mr. T, shows that MeTV Toons also plays!

Maybe they'll put the show in regular rotation, in a back-to-back slot with Baby Looney Tunes, a show MeTV Toons is confirmed to later air!

When Scrappy Doo is a more popular and fitting character for your network and you go with CAILLOU you MESSED UP BIG TIME.

If Caillou is going to air, so it would replace one of E/I show.

If not many watch those shows, so Weigel pull those from lineup like they did with Monk and Diagnosis: Murder several years ago, returning to true retro channel, so Monk went to H&I and later, it get removed permanently and moved to Cozi.

Kind of shame they didn't dip into the the archive to air things like "A Christmas Story" (not that one) and "The Town Christmas Forgot" it would have been nice to go full classic Cartoon Network/ Boomerang with that.

Anyway, Caillou is probably airing because it's in the WildBrain grab bag of things to air. I wish Cosmic Christmas was a choice, but it's probably not a hint of the future.

It always trips me up when people say it aired on PBS Kids, because until that 24/7 channel launched neither PBS station in my area ever aired it. I knew it was on Sprout which I didn't get. Did get Spanish Sesame Street, though.

I seriously wouldn't be surprised if they actually air Johnny Test in the future.

Really hoping that Caillou is in this case just a one off cheap filler and not a sign of things to come further down the road. Maybe they're testing the waters to see how this kind of stuff plays. In that case I'll be voting with my viewership, by not watching. In the more unfortunate scenario of Caillou being added to the regular schedule in the future, then I'd be very concerned for the future of the network. With Baby Looney Tunes also on the horizon I could see them trying to do a "preschool" type block but this would very much alienate their core audience without bringing in any new viewers because these shows are just not that popular among adults. We'll just have to see I guess...

Same here, I'm not going to watch Caillou nor Johnny Test when they air on MeTV Toons, also don't record them because Frndly, Philo and others probably share a data with Weigel about how many viewers record those shows, also Nielsen measures that too.

If Caillou is going to air, so it is likely fall under E/I slot, or they could air on weekend only.

The Magic School Bus and Franklin was alright, so I preferred both over Caillou.

The successful of cartoon shorts aired on MeTV was groundwork for launch of MeTV Toons.
