I was expecting Portugal to score more goals. Not a good start for a good team. It's tied but for one of the best, it's not good enough. If Ronaldo still wants to claim he is better than Messi, he needs that hat trick.

Also last night Messi should have gotten a red card but of course the same rules don't apply to the goats. Just a small note but of course me and everyone are happy he stays in the competition.

I think they will get far enough but likely won't be seen in the semis. Teams can improve. Even the favorite to win the WC Spain didn't play well.

That Norway scoreline really flatters them, but the truth is Iraq played extremely well, made one or two silly mistakes and were punished, and were also a bit unlucky

To be honest, I'm really really enjoying the quality of the games, there's been very few matchups that feel like the traditional "big team massacres small team" that normally happens in the group stage.

And England in the second half played probably the best I've ever seen them!
