Am I the only one who thinks media goes overboard with 24/7 coverage of deaths of pop music stars?

You're not alone. I begin to think of the same thing, looks like great minds meet.

Now I wonder if....

...am I the only one who miss some local programming of various local tv shows (other then news broadcast) and syndicated classic tv shows reruns (before we was flooded by informercials, the only infomercials I liked are the Time-Life music collection)? Or maybe I just weared the rose glasses of nostalgia a bit too long... or being exposed too much in some clips of vintage pictures showing some various moments of local tv like this clip of a montage of photos of CKCK-TV (CTV's affiliate tv station in Regina, Sask).

Am I the only one who figured "Revenge" was going to fail hard? It just doesn't seem very inspired to me. It's just a bunch of old soap cliches that are destined to grow old by its third season. I think it's stupid and nearsighted to get wrapped up in a show built like that.

No, I miss daytime syndication too. At least, the good kind, the reruns of prime-time shows and not the first-run judge shows or the "plump middle-aged women sit around and yak" shows. There's no reason to turn a TV on to a local station before 5 PM.

I agree with you about the first-run judge shows and the "plump middle-aged women sit and yak" shows, it's now turned into a cliché.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one on this one. :)

Edit: Am I the only one who like watching these vintage puppet-animated series known as "Supermarionation" like Fireball XL5, Stingray and Thunderbirds? Here the opening credits of Thunderbirds

Am i the only one who likes to watch the cutscenes and read the backstory in a video game over and over again?

I'll watch them at least once. Specifically the first time I see them. I figure they may give more insight on the story.

All I can say is that I miss when broadcast channels showed game shows on weekday mornings. I remember being at my grandmother's house on school holidays and watching game shows like Wheel of Fortune, Classic Concentration, Sale of the Century, etc etc. I wish we could still have that these days, but no, we have to get those court shows and talk shows with the same annoying themes over and over again.

I never thought it might fail. I can see why it's successful, even though I decided to give up on it since the plot was getting a bit too convoluted for me.

I've been looking at useless stuff on eBay lately. What I don't get about the way bidders behave is....when I want an item, I wait until ten seconds before it expires and then I enter my maximum amount. Why doesn't everybody do that? Why doesn't everybody leave something expensive at 0.99 until the last minute and THEN bid on it? Why do they inflate the price when they don't have to yet?

I know if everyone thought like me, eBay wouldn't work. But I doubt they're all committed to keeping it viable -- they just want stuff. But it seems like they WANT to pay more....

Not everyone is able to be online at just the right time to snipe. And I guess they don't know about or don't trust automated sniping tools.

I'm like you, I snipe. But a lot of times I miss out on things because life comittments keep me offline or I just forget. Setting a snipe with a robot kind of works, but you don't have flexibility to change your bids, so sometimes you can lose out on something because your max autosnipe was just a few bucks too low.

Because not all of us like snipers. I've had an account for almost ten years and I still don't like it. In a way, sniping isn't that beneficial if someone uses ebay's system wisely. Put in your maximum like it says and let ebay do the work. Sure I'd like to pay less than my maximum bid, but I'm not going to gamble with these things. If you want to snipe 5 bucks and I'm willing to pay 20, you won't have time to try again if you wait until the last second.

I think he sounds like a 12 year old girl when he's singing, so no I don't like him either.

I know of a few myself.

I only know one. My best female friend. She's especially upset about how he once said he considers himself the Kurt Cobain of his generation, for he's misunderstood.

Am I the only one who doesn't get the strong level of hate for Justin Bieber in general? I'm not a fan, but seriously outside of YouTube, Bieber isn't unavoidable. Heck, he's only ever mentioned on YouTube where some troll makes a random stab at him, even when it's not a song. He wasn't even on the radio in my area for long. I don't care one way or the other about him, so this just boggles me.

Agreed. Bieber's not my cup of tea's, but for god's sake, he's not the anti-christ of music.

Am I the only girl out there who hates Justin Beiber?

Nope. Definitely not alone. Most if not all of my friends dislike his as well.

As for the remarks about loathing beiber, i dont understand how you couldnt. He's horrible! Everything about him is horrible! His voice, clothes, hair, even the way he talks. I just dont get how he got so famous in the first place. He's the male version of miley cyrus. Its all just aweful..... *steps off of soapbox*

I kinds like him. Not his music, of course, but he seems to understand the absurdity of his situation and have a sense of humorous.about himself.

Yes! Exactly! Some people say he deserves to die because of his singing. Seriously? I mean there are much much worse performers out there.

If anything, Nickelback deserves this hatred much more than Bieber. Detroit had the right idea.

Wow, there is debate on who to hate the most and why...

Am I the only one who thinks zombies are so...so.... SO stupid. If I hear another apocalypse joke involving zombies I think I may cry. But seriously they have to be the most over-used, clicked plot-device to have been trendy among teenage demographics. They make me sick.

No, I dislike him, but I don't want him dead. Hating Justin Bieber is a waste of time because he's just a fad. In a few years, he'll be yesterday's news just like Aaron Carter and The Jonas Brothers. There are singers who deserve even more hate than him like Chris Brown.

Happy 15th anniversary to Secret Mountain Fort Awesome!

It should've ran for as many seasons and episodes as its post-predecessor Uncle Grandpa did.
I wish Imgur wasn't allowed on this forum until the time is right for a return since it's been unavailable in the UK since last September, so I don't see why people use links from the site for here when it's no longer available in the UK and I'm really angry that their parent company made this stupid decision.
Happy 45th anniversary, MTV.
MeTV Toons is a great channel when it comes to classic cartoons, but we know it can be way better. The Duck4Real (me!) elaborates on this in his latest YouTube vlog. Watch it!
