Am I the only one tired of how cynical 90% of the Internet seems to be?
Am I the only one who thinks too much fuss is made about Super Bowl ads?
The 90's were still better. I don't see how it's a debate. One Pauly Shore vs. Britney, Paris, Federline, Sk8er Boi, SexyBack, Adam Sandler, Jessica and Ashlee, the birth and invasion of reality shows, the majority of what exists of Nickelback...the scales are pretty tipped.Am I the only one who doesn't think the Y2K's (2000s) were horrible? Yeah, there were bad things like 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the 2004 Tsunami, and the economy going bad; but there was lot of good in it too.
Like the creations of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, iPhones, the That Guy with the Glasses crew (plus the Angry Video Game Nerd), movies like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Inception. The list goes on, yet looking back on a couple old threads, people were hashing on the last decade way too much. And not to mention the 90s had it's fair share of utter garbage (Columbine, Woodstock '99, Pauly Shore, and the over saturation of EXTREME anyone?)
I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?
Reality TV was birthed in the early 90s with stuff like Cops and The Real World. And Music wise the 90s had N*SYNC, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears first album and other pop stuff that the kids love but everyone else seems to hate. Every decade has its share of crappy music and good music, it's just that we tend to forget about all the crap and remember the good stuff as time goes by. I'm still convinced that in 10 years time we'll be reminising about The Wire, Arrseted Development, Community, The Dark Knight etc. and lamenting about whatever's current. The 90's were still better. And in terms of economy, we had it MADE.

So everything is mediocre? What he said. Plus, my point isn't about which is the "better" decade. It's that there is simply no such thing as a bad decade or even a good one. There's too much of both that happens in each generation of the 20th and 21st centuries to mark them as such.
So everything is mediocre?![]()
I'm in the same boat as you, but I think love songs are cool too, as long as they're not too sappy.Am the only one who's never been in a relationship, yet loves breakup songs?
purplehairedwonder said:Hey, watch it now. I was a tween girl in the late '90s and I was obsessed with the Backstreet Boys. At 23, I still love them--listen to them frequently, actually. And shamelessly at that. Don't hate.![]()

R.E.M. > New Kids on the Blockwhat about the new kids on the block and r.e.m?![]()
I'll give R.E.M. "Losing My Religion," and maybe "Shiny Happy People." But that's about it. Otherwise, I'd take NKOTB just because of childhood nostalgia.
REM in the 90's had more talent in their little toes than every single boy band that has ever been, combined. It was proven with science!
Am i the only one who likes to watch the cutscenes and read the backstory in a video game over and over again?
Yeah, at one point I had a VHS tape full of nothing but game cutscenes.Am i the only one who likes to watch the cutscenes and read the backstory in a video game over and over again?
