C&C - Toonami - [SATURDAYS]

Also, Deadman Wonderland was the first show on Toonami to use bleeps instead of dubbing over profanity.

I thought that the intro bit was really good. It had a nice beat and it was pretty cool. I watched more of the block than I thought I would, although I just had Bleach on for background noise and to see the first set of bumpers. Despite the low budget they have, I thought that the bumps looked pretty good. While I'm not a huge Toonami fan, I thought that it was still enjoyable and I did like the new shows they aired. I would be interested in seeing what kinds of shows they get and the bumpers they could make whenever they get more money. So, I'll be watching the block for quite awhile from the looks of things.

Some people I follow on Twitter were actually complaining that there wasn't enough TOM bumpers and the such, it's like they think Adult Swim has billions of dollars to pump into Toonami right off the bat or something. Things take time. You don't put the roof on the house before you have a solid foundation, it works the same here. Once Toonami has enough money and earnings start rolling in than I have no doubt in my mind that the powers that be will pump some cash into the block to make it the best it's ever been......or at least close.

I was honestly amazed at the quality of the animation and CG. Way beyond anything they've ever done before, and completely exceeded my expectations.

Hopefully better ratings can get them a larger budget, and we can see more of these bumps in the future.

All the clips from last night for those of you who are interested.

I was hoping there would be one of these. I do wish it was higher quality than 360p, though, and that it included the video game review.

Just for you, the video game review. :p

Thanks. I still hope someone uploads the complete collection (that included) in HD. That CG animation is way too amazing to not be seen in its highest quality.

Major Motoko Kusanagi of GITS:SAC 2nd GIG became the first naked lady on Toonami to NOT be dressed in a digital bikini.

How many of you noticed that?

Actually the first naked lady on Toonami to NOT be dressed in a digital bikini was Lady Kayura from Ronin Warriors.

I probably shouldn't remember that...

There's a lady named Ami Mizuno that would like to have a word with you (and I'm sure there's a few other ladies that were shown naked without digital bikinis in other early Toonami shows).

I watched Bleach and Deadman, and DVRed Casshern, which I'll watch tomorrow. Overall, I'm pleased. That Bleach ep was crap, though.

The Arsenal posted all of the bumps and intros and things. You will be stunned by what the Arsenal found out (the same 10 seconds of TOM animation was used most of the night). It really didn't look like that.

I admit that I do like the "quality over quantity" philosophy Williams Street is using for the bumps though. It makes Toonami look GOOD and the only way you realize its low-budget is that there's certain bumps and things that should be there that are missing. Hopefully they'll be added in the weeks to come, DeMarco did say that they plan on debuting new animation and bumps for the next few weeks despite the low budget.

Really? Sweet. I don't know if I'll be able to find the same means to watch it in future weeks, so it looks like I'll be counting on the internet for those. If this first week was any indication, I should be all set with that.

I had a feeling they were reusing the animation, just with different words. It doesn't really matter to me as long as it's entertaining. As good as the intro is, I would like a longer one like the 1 minute intros they use to do. Also, I'm hoping Sara will come back. It felt just a little bit bland without her. Hopefully this will all come in due time once they earn a little more $.

Jason DeMarco has tweeted that they're working on TOM speeches and there will be new content today. :)

Awesome news. Something else to look forward to tonight. :D

Good to know that they're continually working on new material. Looking forward to tonight.

Dang it, can't watch Bleach or Deadman Wonderland today, but will try to catch Casshern Sins.

It should've ran for as many seasons and episodes as its post-predecessor Uncle Grandpa did.
I wish Imgur wasn't allowed on this forum until the time is right for a return since it's been unavailable in the UK since last September, so I don't see why people use links from the site for here when it's no longer available in the UK and I'm really angry that their parent company made this stupid decision.
Happy 45th anniversary, MTV.
MeTV Toons is a great channel when it comes to classic cartoons, but we know it can be way better. The Duck4Real (me!) elaborates on this in his latest YouTube vlog. Watch it!
