While 1999 was a turning point, likely, I believe that digital satellite (Sky) always had encrypted anyway, unlike Boomerang.

So, the intention to have it under paywall had been there for some time, I believe

For some reason the "TVstar" magazine from Czechia still shows the logo from the City and Arrow eras of CN in their schedules:

"Previous" can be even the 1992-2006 one, so that's why I prefer mentioning the eras in which the logo appeared. A bit more info never hurt someone

If you mention previous logo it is actual that City and Arrow logo though .
Previous means the one before the current one. Previous logos though yes, would be more vague.

Regardless, I definitely agree with you that it was pedantic to reply to your post like that .
Specifying the "City and Arrow" logo is fine, especially as that was a relatively short-lived era covering just two branding eras (maybe three in the UK).

Considering that this logo lasted much shorter than the 1992-2004 one, probably not many people remember it anymore.

Honestly I like it more that way.

It is wrong though, that logo has been history for the past 16 years, definitely enough time to update it!

Personally, I've also not warmed up to that logo too much, the current one looks like more of a compromise and is more future-proof.
The previous looked a bit goofy...which isn't to say bad, but definitely tiring after a while.

It's like a portrait of a period. It was a bit more serious in tbe Americas but went goofier outside as time went on. And this cause a bigger creative rift for the channel's feeds around the world.

I checked WTV EPG till August 1st and still no classics. Imho WTV CZ will not air them, they technically can't. Thus I have to check only HBO Max.

Neither Romania and let's remember that BloggerHU said only if they will air them would be Warner TV not that it was confirmed.And I would've seen only Poland and Romania doing it tho

Technically we had 3 eras with this logo in the UK: City (2005-2007), Pesky (2007-2010) and that weird Pesky/Arrow hybrid era (2010, 2010-2012 on CN Too), As for why elements of Pesky were retained? My guess is so they wouldn't have to modify the EMEA Arrow logo animation for CN Too, both utilize arrows in the Next bumpers/promo endings, and besides Check It was on the horizon for the main channel anyway.

I mean Pesky is literally just UK/French/Turkish Arrow.
