Assuming it's not a last name he took from Regto, it does imply his dad is more plot relevant than we knew...

Yeah, makes you wonder if his dad traveled between worlds. Or which one he's really from. The masked man traveled up there specifically for his book. Hopefully, it's not the same kind slow burn dad reveal as Attack on Titan.

I'm just reminded of the episode where Amo told everyone her story about how she met the masked man, Tamsy was the only one who said they shouldn't take her words at face-value...almost insistently .

Agree, that was very suspicious.

"In anime fan speak, it is a common idiom for an anime perceived as being low quality to be referred to as a “trash” or “garbage” anime. The funny thing is that this series is literally themed around trash and the title literally translates to “Legit Trash” and is themed around garbage. We have the ninja anime Naruto, the pirate anime One Piece, the wizard anime Fairy Tail and Black Clover, now we have the garbage anime Gachiakuta.

Protagonist Rudo loves trash, anything dirty, or dingy, or dusty. So much that he risks his life stealing trash from a landfill filled with armed guards so he can salvage trash and repurpose it. Having a landfill that kills dumpster divers does seem like overkill, to be honest. Rudo lives in a floating city for the upper class while the lower class lives in “the pit.” A mysterious masked man murders Rudo’s adopted father and frames him for it. The punishment for murder is to be thrown into the pit, which is filled with monsters made out of trash."
