The heck? It was supposed to be out this week and now they’re holding it off a year for seemingly no reason (I say seemingly in case there’s something I don’t know, but it seems weird to delay it for so long so close to when it was going to premiere).

If it premieres in January, that would mean a minimum of 7 months at the very least. As for this delay, I can only think of three reasons, but they're just guesses:

1. There might be some trouble with Warner Media and they're thinking about how to release their content .

Or

2. This might be a True Colors scenario (see Amphibia) in that there might have been something possibly disturbing that was only just seen at the last minute.

Or

3. There might be unfinished animation.

Ugh a last minute delay into the next year. 2022 has already been quite a dry year for animation so far and this is unfortunately making it drier. Free both Summer Camp Island and Mao Mao.

Julia Pott is in the know about the delay, but she can't say why it happened because of NDA.

They could've had aired 10 episodes to keep us interested instead of pushing back the entire amount.

This is a bad move to me.
My solution - just release the first 10 segments that are ready to go and then release the other remaining 10 later. Keep people invested in this show, instead of encouraging lost interest, due to waiting too long, honestly.

In the schedule for Cartoon Network RSEE for August, the Summer Camp Island episodes, which HBO Max has postponed for 2023, are available. I wouldn't be surprised if they delay them when CN's time comes too, but it's surprising that they were planning to release them two months after the USA.

Hopefully they leave this show alone and Season 6 does come out unlike Little Ellen. I mean it’s getting a surprise crossover with We Baby Bears which has been getting a bit of frequent airtime so they should be committed to release it.

Yeah, that's cute and all - too bad I still want Season 6 of SCI, dammit!
I am glad that We Baby Bears is getting SOME positive recognition there - this show and that one are BOTH criminally underrated and actually good (IMHO), but my feelings still stand, either way.

Cartoon Network CEE has started airing a promo..... which clearly was made before they postponed season 6. And yes, the CEE CN feeds apparently postponed the sixth season as well, like we wouldn't have expected it anyways (or at least only CN CEE did so)



You can see clips here that clearly AREN'T from the episodes that were already released from the older seasons!!!!!!! Basically, CN CEE (being CN CEE) just aired the promo anyway as they had it there stored and just altered it to remove the "NEW EPISODES" references. So yeah, if you want some leaked footage of the postponed sixth season, here is your chance. Something which our CN feed just let it slip up (like what they sometimes do)
