Peter wins a maid on a game show, whom Quagmire immediately becomes smitten with and proposes to. Once married, he realizes his old ways were the better ones, and schemes to get out of the marriage in any way possible.

Is this the first part of the TV version of Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story?

P4QQQ Batman symbol?

And Alex Trebek is part of Myzylpltk's dimension?

I REMEMBER THAT SHOW!

I'd take that for a series finale of Malcolm in the Middle.

They're throwing the jokes out fast and furious tonight.

"It's like a walrus flossing!" That had me on the floor.

I should say that after the last new episode we all needed a long break from the series. This one is looking good at the moment, but there's room for improvement.

I can't believe Quagmire would find love in one woman. Or that Peter could win on Wheel of Fortune, espeically considering how easy the game is itself. And I think that really was Alex Trebek in that scene.

What was that show with the flying ship? I have seen that before but I don't recall the name.

This has nothing to do with the episode and everything to do with the first commercial that aired during the first commercial break.

In my area the first commercial was an anti-drug commercial with that deflated girl sitting on the couch unable to move and talk. We're told she's been this way since she started smoking pot.

Anyone seen this? I hate this commercial because it's an outright LIE!!

I saw it too. I almost wanted to cry 'cos it sucsked so hard.

Did anyone else's ears started to bleed when Quagmire did Woody Woodpecker's laugh?

Wheelchair ninjas, Nazis, and pots-and-pans robots for the win.

Yes, a massive improvement. That break is what we needed after all. The Woody Woodpecker bits were great, my ears are fine. Also, I'm glad that they didn't make any ignorant overextended bits, and while the part with Peter talking about the Statue of Liberty was a little long it was a great scene anyway.

Oh, and that really was Alex Trebek at the start. And it really was Bryan Cranston in the Malcolm in the Middle parody.

Pretty funny. The beginning had too many cutaways (well, not too many, but they were too predictable too fast), but the rest was entertaining for the most part.

There's a whole "commercials you hate" thread in the Entertainment forum. Two, actually.

The first act had me in tears, especially with Alex Trebeck guest starring as himself.

Any Quagmire episode has potential for greatness, this one didn't let me down.

The Death ending was great too. I see from the credits they got Adam Corolla back for him.

Definitely funnier than the last few episodes in a row. Best moments include the Wheel of Fortune opening, the Statue of Liberty foot being rejected by Quagmire after all the hard work, the Malcolm parody, the fake death videotape, Peter jiggling Lois's boobs to arouse Quagmire, many of Cleveland's asides, and Joe at the strip club ("Augh!!! Why do you bring me here?!").

Great subplot with Stewie addicted to Lois's breast milk, too. His shouts inbetween suckling were well-delivered.

I guess if I HAD to give flaws, those ghetto-talking dolphins didn't do anything for me. And I much prefer the "He's Quagmire!" theme song over the Woody Woodpecker parody.

Liked: "Kebert Xela", "Great Space Coaster", Quagmire acting "Woody",

Disliked: Black dolphins, the whole "Statue of Liberty's foot" thing.

Rating: 3/5

I'm pretty hip to all the 70s-80s kids show references Family Guy throws out there, but even I had to Google up The Great Space Coaster during the first commercial break just to even get my memory jogging about that show.

Otherwise, great episode, with a lot of the laughs coming from Adam West.

Thankfully, after the monstrosity that was "Patriot Games", this episode renewed my faith in the series.

My favorite parts were:

- Peter on Wheel of Fortune
- Adam West sending Alek Trebek back to the fifth dimension
- Screaming Black Dolphins
- Peter pouring the champaigne all over Lois and shaking her off. The reaction was classic Quagmire.
- Peter's "Wheelchair Ninja, Nazi, Pan Robot, Dinosaur" suicide video
- Quagmire as Woody Woodpecker (That was my favorite part out of everything)

My only complaint about the episode is Brian acting completely out of character again. I'm sick of how he used to be the voice of reason and now he's some breast hungry mutt. The "Take off your underwear" line made me cringe. I won't even go into detail about all the other terrible out of character crap he's done this season.

Other than that, great episode. :)

Seth MacFarlane has one more episode to get his act together before even I turn.

I've stayed loyal through even the lowest of lows (Shipoopi anyone?) but tonight was just horrible. At least the last one had the Stewie/Brian sub-plot to fall back on but this one had next to nothing. It picked up in the third act and got kinda funny (The ending, Quagmire's "death", zombies) but it's one of the worst.

I'll give it more than just the one more episode, I'm just really frusterated with the show right now.

Rating: D

EDIT: I decided to take back the worst of the series line. Reviewing things with the other posts in the thread made me realize it had enough moments to beat Patriot Games.

Almost everything was top-notch except for one thing. The watermelon bomb scene, I mean that was a such a waste of a scene for unuseable, unfunny Meg abuse.(Which you know my view on it.) The idea of a watermelon being destroyed calls for a Gallagher reference. Here's an example of what I mean:

Peter: Now I've asked none other then the one & only Gallagher to do this.
(Peter walks into the living room, the "Gallagher" Peter mentions turns out to be Noel Gallagher of Oasis)
Noel Gallagher: I told you I'm not that bloody Gallagher you stupid Yankee.
(Peter hands the watermelon bomb to Noel & runs out of the room. The watermelon bomb explodes leaving Noel covered in the mess.)
Noel:**BLEEP** the four of you we're not performing in this bloody state anymore.

Oh well the rest was all the good enough that was enough to balance the one bad.

I can't believe noone mentioned they did 3 Disney parodies in a row: Beauty & The Beast, Lady & The Tramp and Aladdin.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
