Talkback: Family Guy - "I Take Thee, Quagmire"

funny episode.

and did the talking dolphins remind anyone else of those 2 Squirrels on those PSP commercials("HE11z Y3ah!")?

That's the first thing I thought about actually:p

Good Stuff:
- Adam West on Jeopardy
- Peter's 'Daisy Dukes' outfit
- Joe getting freaked out at the strip bar. Actually, I think's that torturous because he can't enjoy it instead of he's trying to be faithful to his wife.
- Peter using Lois to snap Quagmire out of his love stupor.

Bad Stuff:
- Everything involving Brian, unfortunately.
- The exploding watermelong gag on Meg.
- Quagmire's fake death video. Absurdity only works to a point, guys.

7 out of 10 for "I Take Thee, Quagmire." A decent FG... who woulda thunk it?

FIIIIIIIIIIINAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLY! a LORD OF THE RINGS REFERENCE! YEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

But seriously, GREAT episode- it's been a long time, but fully worth the wait! The only thing I DIDN'T think was funny were those two dolphins, I loved EVERYTHING else....including the Pots & Pans robot :D

Really funny episode tonight. The joke that got me the most for some reason was Quagmire asking Death to "leave the body for 5 minutes". Necrophillia is so not cool, but I still couldn't quit laughing. Yeah, I know where I'm going when I die.

Not it at all.

Christy Romano was in this episode?

Who did she play?

The maid. I thought it was Nicole Sullivan at first, but it was her.

This was a top-notch Family Guy episode. I'm really glad I watched it. ;)

Is this the first part of the TV version of Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story?

I don't think so. I think those are "Stewie B. Goode" "Stu and Stewie's Exellent Adventure," and "Bango was his Name-O." I don't know when or if Fox will play those though. Still I hear that one wasn't that great, so I'd rather wait until FOX airs those than spend money on the DVD.

Anyway, back to the original subject. I think this ep shows improvement. The last few were kind of crappy, but this one was much better. That was the funniest "Wheel of Fortune" spoof since the "Go -uck yourself" puzzle in the first season. I remember the daytime version of "Wheel of Fortune" where they used to have contestants shop for prizes. I thought that was a long lost concept. I don't know why they had Regis host the show. It seems like they did get Alex Trebek for the "Jeapordy!" spoof. I don't think anybody could have done that good of an imatation of the voice. I also liked the Woody Woodpecker reference. I didn't care for the breastfeeding though. I thought that was kind of sick. Especially after how long Stewie's been around, he probably would have been off baby bottles long ago. Also, where was Chris? Did the evil monkey get him? Still, for the most part, this was a pretty good episode.

The maid. I thought it was Nicole Sullivan at first, but it was her.

I did see Nicole Sullivan's name in the credits so she must have voiced somebody. I'm a fan of "Kim Possible," so it would be good to know whatelse the voice actors in that show have done. So if Christy was the maid, who was Nicole. Could somebody give me more information here?

Now THAT's how do you a Family Guy episode, not like that abomination that was "Patriot Games".

Perhaps Family Guy hasn't quite jumped the shark yet...

hilarious

>Peter: Ok... P4QQQ<batman symbol> then guessing the right name
>Peter wanting to buy himself as a prize
>Lois' breasts growing from trying to ween stewie
>Cosmic Coaster
>Malcolm In the Middle parody, though I kinda wish they did something other than "Lois is a *****" and an obvious revenge thing, though the characitures were good, is Lois's actor really that skinny?
>Return of Josh the grim reaper.
>Xela Kcebert
>Mayor West's anti-zombie tactic

>Wheel Chair Ninja, Black Nazi and Pots n' pans robot.

Meh
Finding all that stuff in peter's belly button, what's a colecovision anyway?
Bryan's 'trick' to see Lois' breasts*

Funny ep, and a good subplot that tied in(indirectly) to the main plot
Peter's posse was a bit out of character, especially Joe when he told Quagmire to just get a divorce and Cleaveland when he told Quagmire to let his wife commit suicide.

*Bryan's slowly becoming the creepy pervert that Quagmire is, but a totally flat and unfunny version. Why would he be attracted to Lois anyway, he's a dog, and we've seen him have sex with a dog and masturbate to doggy porn. "Please pull of your panties" and lois didn't do anything.

Hey, yea that was a good point Chris was nowhere to be seen this episode

I vaguely remember seeing that in a toystore when I was like 5 :P

And the dolphins sounded like the spoof of the Dumbo crows

I owned a Coleco when I was about that age. I still have it (and the Atari 2600 adapter) somewhere.

Glorious!

Peter's naval, Brian's "what'd you do with the old bras?", the Disney montage (the arab firing a rocket at the end was GOLD), Adam West on Jeopardy, Malcom parody and Peter using Lois to arrouse Quagmire.

That was a seriously disturbing stab at the Baldwins.

Christy Ramano was the maid? That's a crack up having her be suicidal.

Death returns! Gotta love that Adam Corrola.

Wasn't that just Peter making a mistake?

Yeah, probably. I forgot how dimwitted Peter was. I don't think they used the real voice for Pat Sajak like they did for Alex Trebek though. Oh, something I forgot to mention before. One of the best lines: "How much for that fat man in the circle?"

Death returns! Gotta love that Adam Corrola

Actually, I wish they would have brought back Norm McDonald. I always preferred his Death voice.

Quagmire: How did you get out of your marriage Cleveland?
Cleveland:  You slept with my wife.
