Well, MAWS already referenced anime like Pokemon, Gurren Lagan, Ouran High School Host Club, too, but given the high school setting and suddenly being chosen from something not of Earth for MAWGL, Sailor Moon seems like a given with the parallels with Usagi. The casting call of Jessica has some of the same quirks, too. We'll likely have a Sailor Moon-esque transformation sequence when Jess goes GL.

Previously, one guess is a mini-Rooster Fighter marathon on June 6 then MAWS takes its slot on June 13.

If you want a bag of hopium where they have unlimited budget, I would say the new GITS anime. Realistically? No clue.

It would require quite an extension, but I wonder if they want to do a full 1-12 marathon run of the sub. It would be its network premier.

With how much RF is airing outside of Toonami, a marathon of the dub seems like kind of a waste. Whatever the case, we should have an announcement by Friday.

After that, Dan Da Dan airs its last episode on 6/20. Whatever replaces that will be our last change till the fall.

This year, the 4th of July hits on Saturday, so I’d say there is almost 100% odds of a marathon that night that even puts Superman on pause for a week.

I feel like I want Cybersix, for the sake of having every episode aired and uncut. I know it sounds like a wild card pick, but considering Toonami's history with TMS programs like Megalo Box, Lupin the 3rd and Dr.STONE, I think Cybersix would be a great fit for the block. At least it is newer than Outlaw Star by one year, and Toonami prefers to air anime that is newer than Outlaw Star.

I said "mini" so like half the season one weekend, half the other. They've done that before for at least one other show in the past but I don't remember which.

Hmm, we'll see. Both seasons 1 and 2 aired on a July 7 so the holiday was during the week. That would suck for this season not to air 10 consecutively.

I hope they surprise us with a show replacing Dan Da Dan and not just doubling up One Piece. Would be intriguing if it's another Kodansha-related show.

They still have the rights to SAC. I doubt it but I wonder if they'll air a marathon of it to promote the new series.

GitS is right behind Bebop for thing aired way too many times. No one is going to be knocking each over down to tune in for it.

Rooster Fighter creator Shu Sakuratani has been doing featurettes released on Viz's YT and with composer Hiroshi Seko, they worked on a prompt from a fan q of what other animal he would make a spin off story about and they came up with an emu bent on avenging his master.

Considering this is supposed to be Lois’ show, she got very little time in the promo. You can really feel how they have repurposed this into a primarily Superman action series.

I’d assume this dropped now because Toonami will be making schedules Facebook official tomorrow.

No clue how you drew that conclusion this is 'Lois' show'. It's always been a show starring Clark, Lois, and Jimmy (but now Kara is in the mix, too, so not so much Lois and Jimmy of course). This trailer was about the same formula as the season 2 trailer, bits of the main trio, mixed with snippets of various villain fights, and the featured villain (Cyborg Superman in this case). I didn't need much Lois since they went with the big money shot of her clocking Lex.

But if they're following the same PR timeline, we'll see a sneak peak, promo, and clip before the premiere so we'll have plenty of space to see more.

MY Adventures WITH Superman. Lois is the main character, and Superman is the supporting cast.

When it was meant for CN, this was supposed to be a more romcom Lois/Clark thing over a Superman beats up bad guys thing. It was aiming at a more female audience.

Now it comes off as your typical Superman cartoon, where him and his conflicts are the main focus, and the lingering romcom elements will be tucked off to the side.

Im not saying this is a bad thing, it makes sense for them to repurpose the show to its new audience, I’m just saying we can see the transition in real time.

To be fair when it was a CN show it was planned to appeal to girls. Girls loved the pilot, it got a lot of enthusiasm from them... And then they put it on Adult Swim and so they have to appeal to stoner dude bros... Lovely.
