If we look at the positives (for me), and don’t take into account that shows will suffer because of this
1. I grew up with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Fox Kids/Jetix/Disney, and these channels are very important to me. I’m glad that the first two channels will be together under one owner.
2. Historically, Cartoon Network, MTV, part of Comedy Central, and so on were created by Warner. And now, in essence, Paramount has completed the full buyout that began in 1986. Exactly 40 years.
3. Paramount continues to dub programs into Russian for Nickelodeon, and there is a chance that Cartoon Network will also dub shows and get rid of the boring Latvian voice-overs.
4. HBO Max has launched in many countries, including the CIS in Russian. This automatically makes it a platform available to Paramount for placing its own shows. Luckily, through a VPN I can watch HBO here (in the US) in Russian.
