All those ownership changes harmed WBD a lot. That's probably their biggest weak spot.I wonder how Ted Turner feels seeing his creations, especially CNN, under such a corporation.
If even the Paramount deal won't get approved, then all this buyout drama was in vain.
That depends on the March 20 vote. If they vote for the acquisition, then the only thing that can stop Paramount is the EU or UK. I think it's obvious that in the US it will get approved, considering who the Ellisons are. Will the WB shareholders reject this deal?
Amidst all the social media chatter about studios closing, employees getting laid off, projects getting canceled, and CNN turning into Fox News, some are saying that Netflix may be the ultimate winner in all this.
My fear on the March 20 vote is that the shareholders will have no choice but to say yes to the deal. That depends on the March 20 vote. I will mourn if that happens. CN without the independent Turner is just not the sameI wonder how Ted Turner feels seeing his creations, especially CNN, under such a corporation.
Don't know what to say, if it would have been better in Discovery Global's portfolio, or not.I will mourn if that happens. CN without the independent Turner is just not the same
CEOs normally don't say "this deal might not close" openly. Even if it's just a feeble attempt to placate Warner employees, it's still very ominous.I know that gives me hope, but I’m worried Zaslav will be wrong and it will still get approved and close.
Will the WB shareholders reject this deal?
Sadly, Ted Turner got hurt a lot after loss of control with Turner channels after bought Time Warner and lost the billion dollars after post-merger with AOL failed.I wonder how Ted Turner feels seeing his creations, especially CNN, under such a corporation.
