After finally finding the time since, what a year now? I changed from Freakazoid to Cranky Kong in anticipation of DKC Tropical Freeze. I'd use an actual image from the game but I think this screenshot from the DKC cartoon is a lot funnier.

I've decided to give my Pocket God avatars a rest and use different avatars this year. My new avatars are from an online trading card game called Urban Rivals. Not only do the cards have great art, they also evolve and change portraits hen they level up; giving me different portraits of one character.

Each month, I'm going to focus on one or two characters and change their portraits weekly to show how they change when they level up. For February, I'm starting off with Bubbles the water loving dude of the Bangers Clan. The Bangers, as the name implies, are gangstas and many of their members represent rap, r and b, and hip hop culture. (It's also Black History Month and I'm black, so it seemed appropriate.) There are many more unique clans in Urban Rivals and I'm show off their members as the year goes on.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Which is staggering to me! It was one of the earliest movies I saw in the theater (I was five-and-a-half) and have a clear memory of. So I had to use an Indy avatar to mark the occasion.

New avatar is Sara Lance, the current incarnation of Black Canary on Arrow because she's awesome. The user title is in reference to Sara saying no woman should ever suffer at the hands of men.

Under Settings, click on Edit Profile, then scroll down to the second section, Optional Information. You'll find the Custom User Title field there.

Got it! I chose my user title, since NBC's cancelled every sitcom they've had post-Community, and I chose it at a time when Sean Saves the World and The Michael J. Fox Show both got the ax.

Time to show off a new Urban Rivals clan and its clan member. My avatar is Chwing, the stretchy lass of the Skeelz clan. The Skeelz clan is a mixture of Hogwarts from Harry Potter and the mutant academy from X-men.

Here's an interesting tidbit: there's a character based off of Harry Potter called Kenny, but since he debuted before the Skeelz clan was introduced, he was put on the supernatural Nightmare clan. If you've ever seen any Internet ads for Urban Rivals, you might have seen him on one of the ads.
