CN Ratings Thread: Part 13

Without Monday comedies Level Up does even worse. Level Up just falls flat despite that some of the extra promo time that would have been given to Monday night comedies went to Level Up and it got lead-in help from Total Drama: Revenge of the Island. It's just been one week without Monday comedies and they're already at 1.2 Million with lead-in help. It's clear that Level Up cannot pull up good ratings on it's own. Without the help of their animated shows they wouldn't be doing as good as they are now. I'm pretty sure many of us knew that before hand. CN is just waiting for Level Up to hurt them real bad before they get rid of it.

I think CN should let Total Drama take 8PM because it gives itself the timeslot benefit and put then Level Up at 8:30, Total Drama will do better ,CN may also like it because it may benefit Level Up, and at least Level Up won't hurt any shows after it.

Funny enough, that there is about what MAD usually scores in its premieres, and it's better than the most recent premiere.

Good god, Level Up is tanking, and I mean horribly. This show gets TONS and TONS of ad's and promos, but, it continues to tank. Not entirely sure what the deal is. Considering I haven't seen the show, I can't come to a logical conclusion plot-wise, but apparently, kids aren't liking it. Highly doubting if LU will be getting a 3 season.


Quick Question: When are Gumball new episodes returning? Any news on that front?

For a while Level Up was doing fairly well. I'm not sure what the problem is now. But I think the kid ratings for the show are acutally very high, and it's the adult and teen viewership that is low. Regardless, it's but assured that there won't be a third season. As someone against any live action on Cartoon Network, that will be A-ok with me.

Sure Level Up has shown praise for winning boys demos in it's timeslot, but that was also when the whole channel was #1 with boys and Level Up's highlights were not as impressive as other program highlights. I think there are some Saturday ratings that show Level Up dropping quite a bit from it's lead-in with K6-11.

Tuesday night’s Total Drama: Revenge of the Island (7:30 p.m.) was the #1 telecast of the day among boys 6-11 & 9-14, and #1 in its time period among all boys. Immediately following, original comedy series Level Up (8 p.m.) also ranked #1 in its time period among all boys.

Saturday morning’s (6:30 – 11 a.m.) presentation of action-adventure programming—including Ninjago (9:30 a.m.),The Green Lantern (10 a.m.) and Young Justice (10:30 a.m.)—increased by double-digits across all kids and boys demos—between 14% and 34%.

This whole Directv thing had a positive boost big time to Disney Channel and a small boost to Cartoon Network and quite a decline to Nickelodeon:

Yikes a 1.2 average. If that and the previous dismal ratings LU has had from Saturday marathons doesn't get CN to stop trying Saturday marathons with it then I'm not sure what would.

NinjaGo once again proves its' worth in rerun ratings. It might keep that Saturday morning slot long term.

The DirectTV dispute is not surprisingly working in CN's favor. CN might actually keep up with Nick this weekend.

Total Drama will have it's season finale that third week (Sometime early September), and the schedule beyond that will be: Gumball (New), Dragons (New), Level-Up (New), Adventure Time (Rerun)

I hear The Looney Tunes Show returns in October for it's second season, so I think it'll be a good idea to replace the AT rerun with that. It rounds out Tuesdays so the entire night can be full of premieres just like Mondays.

Wednesdays will be Ninjago alone, at least until Johnny Test comes back.

If NinjaGo does keep its Saturday morning slot, then this is what I am predicting for the fall, assuming Redakai, ThunderCats, and Young Justice all get renewed. (Even if they don't, it's pretty obvious what I think it'll look like.)

7am - Redakai/Scan2Go rotation
7:30am - Beyblade: Metal Fury
8am - Pokémon: BW RD
8:30am - Ben 10: Omniverse
9am - Star Wars/ThunderCats rotation
9:30am - NinjaGo
10am - Green Lantern
10:30am - Young Justice/Beware the Batman rotation

Unless they decide to extend or move DC Nation.

I do, too. But CN is too stubborn to move it because they think plugging Level-Up after a show they know will do great ratings-wise (Total Drama/Dragons) equals good ratings for Level-Up.

What I do see happening is Gumball getting better ratings due to being put in front of Total Drama/Dragons. Maybe we can finally see him breaking the 2 mil mark, huh?

Well, they did it with the last three episodes of season 1 and it really hurt it, though if they promote it this time then it might still break 2 mil. But still, assuming that it gets that and Level Up continues to get between 1M and 1.5M then it's smarter to switch them.
