What's going on with Cartoon Planet? Wow... under a million now.

Cartoon Network didn't know what to do with a good thing, and the ratings suffered with the block.

Cartoon Network didn't know what to do with a good thing, and the ratings suffered with the block.

Cartoon Network didn't know what to do with a simple thing that was good and had the opportunity to be great had they followed through with the block's purpose. It makes zero sense how they actually managed to screw up Cartoon Planet.

TTG! is consistently gaining momentum, good to see that.

Cartoon Planet performed better on Thursday than Friday, why is that?

Great reruns by Adventure Time, Regular Show and even MAD.

Teen Titans Go! is holding well being the only decent premiere of the entire week. It added about 450K to it's Johnny Test lead-in. Pretty good.

Legends of Chima is doing just terrible. Well at least it I can say that those episodes were already ran. However it was a waste of promotion and it seems as if the Adventure Time and Regular Show reruns on Monday doubled that. (Both are around 2.1 Million) Ninjago reruns could easily reach those numbers. It dropped about 400K from the Teen Titans Go! rerun before it which scored 1.548 Million. This weeks Legends of Chima premiere episode scored 1.014 Million (via Nickandmore tweet) although they haven't released the ratings for the Gumball before it yet. There was no mention in that weeks press release either. It seems very well that Chima may already be on the chopping block. The show's already aired 4 of it's episodes and is probably almost over right after it's official premiere. If this is it's only season it should finish before Labor Day.

Batman did okay for a Saturday morning premiere. I really wished they would have treated the series premiere better. The show had little promotion neither did it have a good lead-in. I hope if CN is unimpressed with it's numbers then they'll learn from that mistake.

Cartoon Networks needs some serious revamping schedule and promotion wise. Johnny Test should be moved after TTG. Annoying Orange, Incredible Crew, and Legends of Chima need to be removed. Cartoon Planet should stick with 1 night a week as Thursdays were in much better shape before it joined. Promotion needs to drastically improve for Beware the Batman, as those numbers are probably making Nick and Disney Channel laugh at Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network could potentially do much better if they would improve their promotional strategies. This is usually something I don't advise, but in this case CN should be copying Disney Channel in terms of promotion, as Disney Channel really knows how to promote which allows pretty much anything they put out to be a hit. Cartoon Network needs to take that step with Steven Universe, Clarence, and Total Drama All Stars, as well as the upcoming Powerpuff Girls special, because Cartoon Network could regularly pull in huge numbers during the later part of the day in order to give Nick and Disney some competition.

Originally, I would've agreed with flat out getting rid of Johnny Test but now I have a different view on the show. I still think it's a manufactured, watered down, LCD piece of crap but I say keep it. Put it on in the morning and early afternoon but keep it the HELL away from any lucrative time slot, primetime included. CN can sweep up whatever ratings this show manages to rake in from those who actually like it and at the same time, keep it out of our sight. In wrestling, you don't book a jobber in a main event spot so JT has no business airing during a time when most people's eyes are on the screen. With that being said, whenever this show is eventually dead and gone, I'll be as happy as anyone else.

Last season when the show was back on Mondays it would bring around 1.5 Million viewers but more than 3.0 in Kids 6-11 which is their target demo. It works the other way around too. Young Justice before it was cancelled could go up to 2 Million viewers yet it only brought around 1.5 in their targeted kids demo. That might be that the reason they have yet to remove Johnny Test so long is that it's still doing decent with kids. We don't get those kids ratings now, so I think this could definitely be the case.

Good point, explains why they're airing Grojband so much too. And why they still have Beyblade and Pokemon weekday mornings.

More great showings for Adventure Time and Regular Show. MAD is still pretty weak although it's doing far better than it was earlier.

Ouch for Johnny Test. Not even a million now? I'm pleased to say that it won't be returning to new episodes in August.

Teen Titans Go! had a 800K increase from Johnny Test! The extremely weak JT lead-in didn't stop it although Teen Titans Go! would certainly would have hit the 2 Million mark if Johnny Test wasn't there.

Wednesday night needs serious overhaul. CN is just exploiting Gumball to bring up Annoying Orange and Chima. However that was a bit of a weaker showing for Gumball. At least Chima held on to it's Gumball lead-in. The situation would have been much better if Annoying Orange hadn't dropped of that much from it's lead-in. It's a good thing that after this bunch of episodes, much like Johnny Test, Annoying Orange won't return after it's hiatus.

Pokemon is recovering, but Batman is definitely not doing so well. CN should have definitely started the show in a better slot or gave the show a better lead-in. The show definitely had a slow start and unless CN does anything to help it will only do worse.

Wasn't Johnny Test just renewed for another season? I know its ratings aren't currently very good, but JT has also been sort of a "fill-in" show in terms of Cartoon Network will throw in premieres when they're lacking in other departments. I can't imagine them not airing the rest of the series.
