"Black Panther 3" Pre-Release News & Discussion Thread

I feel like they say that for a lot of movies at this point :p.

I'd be surprised if it doesn't become a trilogy, but I guess it's kind of complicated :(.
I think a third Black Panther could work as a big time skip with a new king being crowned and the ceremony and it's all full circle. And you're wondering if he's the adult son of Shuri, a mystery like is he the secret son of T'Challa and Nakia, or someone else's son.

Would a big time skip work in the MCU given that they’d trying to do Young Avengers? Or are you saying skip to a new young Black Panther, maybe a secret son of Kilmonger (which would be funny given the whole premise of Michael B. Jordan and Coogler’s Creed franchise)?

10/31: The latter. It would be kinda be MCU standalone but tell a complete story within the BP trilogy.

I guess that depends on if they want to get some version of T'Challa back at some point or do something original .

Maybe Kang will be involved...

In terms of Wakanda's future, an insider claims the plan is
Shuri is still taking time for herself, as she is not interested in the slightest in being Queen of Wakanda. She is still keeping the mantle of Black Panther, BUT, I am hearing that she will eventually pass on the mantle to the one true successor of the throne of Wakanda, the young Prince T’Challa, son of King T’Challa. It is to my understanding that she, along with Okoye and Nakia, are raising this child so he can eventually take on the mantle and become the next ruler of Wakanda and Black Panther...But the story they have planned with his son is absolutely lovely, and I quite frankly would love to see it unfold as they have planned.

I won't be complaining about the return of T'Challa as Black Panther despite the way they went about doing it in the wake of Boseman's death and not recasting o_O.

At the very least I think Boyega is going to avoid another franchise film...
Agreed, I bet it was around the same time they were talking to him about the Rey movie and he passed. But they still wanted him in the system and Marvel Studios took a turn. But he's pretty much said in past interviews he's done with Disney and franchises because they fumbled with diversity in SW.

I wonder how he'd react to the Acolyte...

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
