Yo . So I have a question about something for CN shows on some international kids channel (the non CN channel itself but something else ) :
I would want to know is there's some international kids channels still airs CN shows . And wish one of them? (No i'm not talking about boing but i'm talking about something else)
DR Ramasjang in Denmark airs
Totally Spies! season 7 with the exact same Danish dub as HBO Max (which has the whole season) and Cartoon Network Western Europe (which has only aired as many episodes as it has due to France and Gulli). But that's a third-party program and the rights to it were likely obtained independently without Warner Bros. Discovery's involvement whatsoever. It's also on DRTV.
And speaking of something that WBD actually owns,
FredagsTamTam on DR1 and DR Ramasjang does air the
Tom and Jerry theatrical shorts in English with Danish subtitles (several of the shorts were officially dubbed for certain home video releases and were also available dubbed on HBO Max back when the service used to have T&J theatrical shorts), and those used to air in undubbed, unsubtitled English on Cartoon Network Nordic.
I don't think CN Nordic or Boomerang Nordic ever aired the Tex Avery MGM shorts (which probably require dubbing even more than the T&J shorts) to my knowledge, but those have also been occasionally included in FredagsTamTam somehow, with Danish subtitles. They may have possibly been dubbed into Danish for an official Warner Bros. home media release alongside
Tom and Jerry shorts, however.
Anyway, does the DRTV VOD service, owned and operated by the Danish public broadcaster DR, otherwise count too?
In addition to the aforementioned
FredagsTamTam (and some of the
Tom and Jerry shorts included, which are also viewable standalone), DRTV also has seasons 5 and 6 of
The Amazing World of Gumball with the same dub as Cartoon Network and HBO Max (though the Western European edits are indeed used), the entirety of
What's New, Scooby-Doo? (with the very same Danish dub that has also been used by Cartoon Network, Boomerang and HBO Max in the past),
Batwheels season 1 with the same Danish dub as Cartoonito and HBO Max, and
Uncle Grandpa season 1A with the same Danish dub as Cartoon Network and HBO Max.
For third-party shows on DRTV which air on Cartoon Network or Cartoonito and can be found on HBO Max, DRTV also has the third-party show
Jade Armor, with the same Danish dub as Cartoon Network and HBO Max. There's also
Interstellar Ella, with the same Danish dub as Cartoonito and HBO Max.
And last but not least,
Lu & the Bally Bunch, which interestingly and rather unusually actually has
an entirely different Danish dub on DRTV compared to on Cartoonito and HBO Max, produced by the same dubbing studio (Iyuno) nonetheless! The DRTV dub uses appropriately gendered child voice actors for all of the kid characters and uses more realistic-sounding character voices in general (and localizes a larger amount of character names), whereas the Cartoonito/HBO Max dub has most characters (except Barnaby who's voiced by a grown man) voiced by adult women and uses more stylized character voices (while leaving a larger amount of names unlocalized).
