CN arabia before thr new management . We never got that show until 2016CN TR before the new management had Regular Show uncut. A unique case in the EMEA region
This is true even for some Regular Show episodes on HBO Max in Turkey. They also had some scenes which the EMEA prints cut. This means that the prints with M&E tracks were supplied direct from the USA. Of course, there was minimal censorship, but applied locally
Yep. Pretty much all of them.Did other HBO Max Australia episodes of Regular Show use the US prints?
Ah, glad to know. Even the PAL-pitched WBB prints delivered to iView are straight from the US.Yep. Pretty much all of them.
I find it hard to beleive that this is the case for Turkey, of all the EMEA continent, but... wowCN TR before the new management had Regular Show uncut. A unique case in the EMEA region
When did it happen?Did anyone see the Boomerang UK HD shutdown? I don't subscribe to Sky.
There is censorship, it started since its launch, they censored insults, such as, stupid, idiot, jerk, etc., kissing scenes, and curse words, and they changed dialogue, for example, Gumball's season 1 episode "The Curse" is changed to, "The Misfortune" (Şanssızlık), it wasn't changed on HBO Max and Netflix. Censorship became more heavily censored since 2015, but lighter than post-2017 and heavier than pre-2014. They even had changed dialogue, for example, in the Regulars Show episode "Local News Legends", Mordecai and Rigby says, "Şapşallar! Şapşallar! Şapşallar!" on Cartoon Network, but on HBO Max, they say, "Pislikler! Pislikler! Pislikler!" Since 2018, censorship became heavily censored. And Muscle Man's "My Mom" jokes weren't censored until 2019, it was heavily censored since 2017, as seen in the Regular Show finale. With the change in management team at CN TR in 2018 (it was managed by Doğan Holding between 2008-2018 and censorship was almost non-existent; only kissing scenes were censored), censorship unfortunately increased significantly.
RTÜK has existed since April 20, 1994. However, there was no censorship between 2008 and 2018. Only kissing scenes and the phrase "shut up" were censored. If a kissing scene was part of the episode that significantly impacted the episode, it was only shown briefly. For example, in the "Picking Up Margaret" episode of RS, they showed a kissing scene between Mordecai and Margaret.
- I forgot to add: Initially, segments containing smoking scenes were completely censored, but later they started blurring them.
Today unsure of what time, looking at the EPG here it's gone..When did it happen?
The channel still exists from streaming services yeah . So they're not affectedToday unsure of what time, looking at the EPG here it's gone..
Boomerang HD still exists, just not on the regular Sky package, so the SD feed has moved up to HD’s spot, 603, and Boom SD’s original spot, 641, is invisible. Here’s a before and after of what I’m talking about (I don’t have a before for Boom SD sorry)Did anyone see the Boomerang UK HD shutdown? I don't subscribe to Sky.
I wasn’t awake to catch it live, but I remember tuning in at midnight to see if it had gone, and it was still there, so I assume it was during the 6am hourToday unsure of what time, looking at the EPG here it's gone..
Guys, it's not a" traditional shutdown", it was removed in a way no one could notice it, instantly replaced by the SD version (at the likes of 10am)I wasn’t awake to catch it live, but I remember tuning in at midnight to see if it had gone, and it was still there, so I assume it was during the 6am hour
By the way, was there ever a reason given for Boomerang HD leaving the regular Sky package? My guess is low viewership and/or not being very active, which might correlate to them hyping up Baby Lemmings
Also, there was a "proper" shutdown the same day, That's TV 2 and That's 20th Century. Boomerang still exists. The That's channels, uhhh... Still alive on Freeview but for how long?Guys, it's not a traditional "shutdown", it was removed in a way no one could notice a difference anyway.
Plus, as we and RC have stated before, the HD version is still available on Stream, Glass, NOW (basically the "streaming-powered platforms). The shutdown is only there to incentivise people to move to the streaming Sky platforms, where channels don't have much of a capacity issues.
Of course, they start with "secondary channels" first, but it doesn't have much necessarily to do with ratings
I think that the WBD merger also meddled with ithonestly even though RYW didnt happen in emea in 2022 there was still a sense of "fun" reading the CN threads back then theorizing on what time and date they will Rebrand people making their own fanmade things ect dont think we will have that type of experience again
