For Gumball that is really surprising, though It is very likely that because it competes with The Loud House it would be affected by it.
Definitely because they're running in the same timeslot as Nick's premieres.OUCH! All shows fell down significantly especially Gumball. And somehow We Bare Bears managed to get the highest ratings which is a rarity for them (usually Gumball or Teen Titans GO get the highest).
I wonder if it because of Nick's new block which aired at the same time? Or the app releasing episode early? Or the lack of TTG or SU in order to keep the block afloat?
Well, as long as Nielsen continues to not track IPTV (Sling, Hulu, PSVue) viewership, and as long as CN continues to run premieres in the same timeslot as Nick's premieres...2018 seems promising for CN's ratings to improve as they started off the year with higher than average, but I guess 700-900k viewers is the new standard ratings for them.
I mean this is honestly sad they have move their premieres to another night when just a few years ago they were able to compete with Nickelodeon. They really ruined the great thing they had going.I'm still expecting CN to move the Friday night premieres to another night. They can't directly take on Nick forever.
That said, I really hope the Monday night block does well.

The usage of the CN app for newer premieres has really given CN a different result when it comes to new episode premieres. 2017 below 1 million ratings became more common than in years before.CN has always trailed behind Nick for the most part. However, it just so happened that CN was flourishing at a time when Nick was losing its audience.
That being said, CN's shows generally get a lot more online buzz than Nick's do. That may likely explain why they're emphasizing the app as much as they are.The usage of the CN app for newer premieres has really given CN a different result when it comes to new episode premieres. 2017 below 1 million ratings became more common than in years before.

Which explains why the live feed predominantly plays programs that more appeals to younger kids. While the live feed is reserved for the 6-11 demo, which advertisers deem most profitable. It's actually a brilliant business strategy once you look at the bigger picture.
