Last week, it was announced that Dragon Striker is coming to Disney XD. I'm not expecting the channel to be revived because of the content crisis. Likewise, it's been a decade since Disney XD got a full-on original (as in animated series, not video-based shows or let's plays).

Last time when Disney XD had an animated show it was in 2018 with "Star Wars Resistance".

I'm just hoping no one gets grounded, punished, reprimanded, or otherwise "disciplined" for doing the right thing...

I think this being an international series is why it's on Disney xd

I doubt that it's gonna be a success airing on Disney XD itself, given the fact that the channel has a very low amount of average viewers… They might reconsider plans on calling it a "Disney XD original" and instead simulcast premieres with Disney Channel. Unless they somehow promote it heavily…

EMEA Disney Channel feeds will air Dragon Striker from June 6. Makes me think how its production is going and how much of the first season was finished so far.

So Inazuma Eleven by way of Medieval Fantasy O_o.

So it's not just a Disney Junior thing. It seems like all Disney shows now will premiere a bunch of episodes in 1 day.

"Dragon Striker, the latest animated arrival on Disney streaming and cable channels, is making its debut this weekend. This new series focuses around farm boy Key discovering his talent for an imaginary sport called gorotama, a soccer (or football for non-Americans) based sport involving magic. Dragon Striker is animated in France. This fantasy sports animation takes inspiration from Japanese anime styles. Similarly Western animation such as Toonami’s My Adventures with Superman and Invincible Fight Girl have drawn inspiration from Dragon Ball Z.

The eleven episode Dragon Striker series first appeared on Disney+ streaming on June 10. It will be making its linear debut on Disney Channel the weekend of June 12 – June 14. Disney Channel will be airing four episodes from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM eastern on Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13 with the final three episodes from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM on June 14.

On Disney XD, the entire Dragon Striker series aired in a binge format from 5:00 PM-10:30 PM on Tuesday June 9. This marathon aired just after a new Phineas and Ferb short, Locker Diaries episode “Ferb I Blew Up the Frog” and the Disney XD premiere of the 2020 Pixar movie Onward from 2:45 PM – 5:00 PM. A second full series marathon aired on Wednesday June 10, from 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Episode 1 aired made its non marathon debut at 9:30 PM on June 10. Episode 2 aired on Thursday June 11 at 9:30 PM. Episode 3 will be airing Friday June 12 at 9:30 PM. After these primetime airings, the series will make its debut as part of Disney XD’s Saturday morning anime schedule."

So why did Disney XD premiere Dragon Striker instead of Disney Channel? Given Disney TVA co-produces it and Disney XD being dead by now, why was XD the premiere place? And why dump everything at once?

This screams that Disney's not gonna give the show a season 2.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
