Like I said, ours was 24/7 from the start in 2012
I understood. There's no reason to repeat.Like I said, ours was 24/7 from the start in 2012
Not really useless. There's content for night owls even if there's only a few shows. I can understand why Disney Jr wasn't airing overnights in many places. The target demo wasn't watching. Although I will never understand why Disney XD wasn't 24/7 in here. It's useless to have a 24-hour channel if they air useless content at night. (like with Gumball on CN CEE, not saying about Disney ones)
I was asked why British kids' channels were so late to 24-hour broadcasting - I think it was just cheaper to not run overnight for very low ratings, while the continent lives later into the evening, and then the US, Canada, Asia, and Latin America were serving bigger populations where it simply was more feasible.Over here it closed at 12AM, came back at 6AM
Disney XD was a similar case24-hour kids channels were a blessing and a curse
In the case of the Disney channels, it often meant more surplus EU content overnight and that was boring to me
Yeah, meanwhile we were a small country and only Canal Panda and later Panda Kids closed at night, while CN handed over to TCMI was asked why British kids' channels were so late to 24-hour broadcasting - I think it was just cheaper to not run overnight for very low ratings, while the continent lives later into the evening, and then the US, Canada, Asia, and Latin America were serving bigger populations where it simply was more feasible.
It has to do with national trends, indeed.I was asked why British kids' channels were so late to 24-hour broadcasting - I think it was just cheaper to not run overnight for very low ratings, while the continent lives later into the evening, and then the US, Canada, Asia, and Latin America were serving bigger populations where it simply was more feasible.
That's obvious.@JulianRO Keep in mind that channels are not 24/7 because one is supposed to watch them all the time
When there is just one show running, or two, maximum 3, it feels useless. But overall, if there's a varied schedule at night, I wouldn't complain, even I would stay up at night to watch, especially if there were some Fox Kids shows airing, like how it happened with the Dutch feed of DC.Not really useless. There's content for night owls even if there's only a few shows.
Yeah, back in the early 2010s I wished that overnights would become a dumping ground for old shows, but at the time I wasn't aware of the EU regulationsI honestly think that at night, the best combination would be a mix of both old and new series. Or even better, only old series, if possible.
Some of them. When Disney Cinemagic closed they only aired a narrow selection on both channels. Disney Channel got Timon and Pumbaa and Quack Pack during the daytime. Disney Junior only got The Little Mermaid after the 9pm watershed. All of this in 2013-2014.I thought DC Portugal preferred to air old shows in the afternoon?
A lot of feeds liked showing them during school hours.
