International Disney Networks Thread Part 15

We had this date guessing before and it did not end up too well.

Everything could be or could not be, but personally I think March as a "now or never" doesn't look too likely.
I could be wrong, but there are signs.

(It doesn't even change my life, but that's beside my point)

I don't make a big deal out of this though. I'm just saying that they shouldn't wait especially when a new show is premiering. They have waited for an entire year is what's an issue. They had a chance to rebrand in January at least. Okay, let me just say it's this Spring or never being a more logical explaining because otherwise I don't see them rebranding to the US look especially when they are rebranding again in about 2 to 3 years.

I don't personally see the US channels rebranding too soon to be honest, I think that would be on the expensive and useless side these days. Maybe some tweaks

I'm not excluding anything, but likely EMEA Is Happy about the current status quo, nor is the US feed going to impose the branding on the EMEA channels for the time being.

In a way or the other, what we wish for sometimes does not end up happening , hence why I'm skeptical.

But rebranding is one of the most logical things in our wish list. Scribbles has lasted a good three and a half years. They are just stalling for time and hoping for the best. It might also be the EMEA team doesn't like the current US look, therefore we might skip or stall too much time before the rebrand happens. I hope they put their personal feelings aside and understand that rebranding is more healhier than staying with the same look for half a decade. Which in worse case scenario might happen if they are suddenly skipping another rebrand,

US rebrands last around half a decade so I'm sure they will rebrand again before 2030.

It's not about pessimism, it's more about the likely possibility it won't rebrand in the very short term. The graphics scream too much current EMEA

It's a case of it is what it is

@MagiaDiWinx A French channel airing a Quebecois dub?
You don't understand what a heresy that would be :D . Or you do know
It does happen but usually only if the show itself is Canadian and no European French dub exists. (Though Fresh TV commissioned dubs in both Canadian and European French, while from the 2010s onwards often Canadian studios just get one dub made that is recorded in Belgium.)

From my research, DC France has never aired Québécois dubs with the exception of media where French is the original language. So presumably 16 Wishes would NOT be the one exception, but hopefully someone can actually figure out from the promo:

Quebecois French is very easily recognizable, and that's definitely not it
The vowels are very French, e.g. "ans" with a very rounded vowel, unlike "aan, or ään" from Québec

Unless the Quebecois have put very Metropolitan French accents, which I pretty much doubt :D

The French generally find Quebecois speakers hard to grasp in many instances, especially when they have broad or rural accents or use dialectal terms; so it's not going to be the first choice

It's more down to an opinion than being impossible. It's going to likely be March 2nd since that would be a nice launch day with the Vamirina launch on DC Poland. They can update the graphics (CN UK has done it). I know we thought another network was going to rebrand for it to only be a campaign. This time that's not the case for DC so I'm quite positive it's going to happen.
I still don't think it will be on March 2, it will be much later

Again we'll see. I'm just going to say that they better rebrand before Summer. I'm still personally going with 2nd of March. Any option is possible but for now that's the most logical date with a new show.

DC PT never aired Brazilian dubs because they don't have access to them

But one time in 2012-2013, an episode of the EU-PT dub of Cars Toons: Mate's Tall Tales ended with the PT-BR dub credits for Brave

Nobody knows how they got there

DC Nordic/France schedule isn't as bad. And I've talked about this before too. There's clearly variety in the more accessible hours. One thing I can say about CEE though is that it's overnight lineup is better but overall that doesn't even matter. I and most people aren't up so that's one of the less worrying issues.

Bluey is there like a main DC show having marathons but I'm not surprised. Clearly it's super popular among all the demos.

Same rationale as DC USA airing it outside of Disney Junior hours.

Bluey has also aired outside of Disney Jr over here multiple times due to it's wider audience.

Another Canadian show which received both Quebec French and European French dub was "Packages from Planet X": Livraison expresse (2012-)

There's also two other shows that had dubs in both Canadian and European French, which those are Dot. and Ollie's Pack.

I know Jake premiered on Pervij Kanal in 2011 and didn't come to DC Russia until 2013 (I assumed Disney sold the rights to them JUST before they got the rights to make DC Russia terrestrial) but what's up with Sofia the First airing on Pervij Kanal then? Now, I've not seen footage of it on DC RU, but I know the Once Upon a Princess DVD cover had the 2010 Uznavajka Disney logo on it.

@zQwmy It looks like the Spanish team has changed its on-screen bug in France to match with other Spanish-operated feeds.

The feed technically hasn't merged so pretty questionable but then again it's easier to manage it. And the fact that it's only on one TV provider says how low the ratings are.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
