Sonic Boom--News and Discussion Thread

Perhaps the way CN is treating "Boom", it might be cancelled and we'll get a more serious Sonic show.

I don't see that happening. Cartoon Network isn't looking for serious shows right now, and Sega isn't any more interested in making a serious Sonic cartoon than networks are interested in buying one. If Sonic Boom tanks, then that'll likely just be it for Sonic on TV until the next big Sonic franchise comes along.

Since Sonic Boom is mostly comedy, there shouldn't be no reason why CN is mistreating like it mistreats its action shows. For some reason, CN seems to have a thing with Teen Titans Go! (which will probably end after 52 episodes). It's gets the most promotion out of all CN's shows and airs at least 8 times a day, despite only having 36 half hour episodes!

Jeez, what is up with CN and its scheduling and promotion nowadays?

This is a bit off topic, but is it just me? Or has the schedules for Cartoon Network and Boomerang been pretty.......bad since June, well CN was okay until September when they randomly reduced Regular Show (or in this case until October, took it off the air) and Adventure Time and gave Gumball and TTGo! craptons of airings. The whole Sonic Boom thing obviously has something to do with the new scheduling department being pretty bad, just a theory.

Everyone can go claim this show is jinxing other shows with the replays and noplays and stuff --

Sonic Boom is not responsible for anything just as it is not responsible for the whole Nintendo/Pokemon vengeance thing. (see other thread)

Sonic Boom is back in the late morinngs @ 1130/1030C!

Hopefully it will stay there this time!

Interesting. Do you have a link to the source? I don't care much for Sonic Boom, but an early Saturday morning acquisition getting better treatment is a surprise.

Just looked at my AT&T U-Verse guide and it's true. Re-runs of Sonic Boom are now on Weekdays at 11:30am ET after Tom and Jerry Tales (I think that's first returning now too). Premieres are still on Saturdays at 7am ET.

My guide shows that CN pulled new episodes for the rest of the month (reruns still there though).
