On a related note, DeMarco confirmed on Twitter that we're getting some DC Nation shorts on Toonami starting this Saturday.

That's cool. The Batman shorts were really good, although they were just too short, especially for the Batman Beyond short.

He does seem to be too upset over people finding out about the schedule ahead of time though. Granted, this isn't as bad as when he would get upset over new shows being leaked out before being officially announced, but finding out about new developments ahead of time is actually a good thing. I understand wanting to keep something a surprise, but it's also a good idea to get the word out about them so that you can potentially attract an audience. Admittedly, I don't know how much of an audience they can get from some DC Nation shorts, but learning about these things ahead of time isn't really bad.

I don't know. Maybe they're just trying to create an atmosphere where anything can show up on any given Saturday so people will tune in regularly to see if there are any surprises.

To be honest I just like surprises so that's probably why I'm defending it.

I don't mind surprises myself and I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted people to watch every week to see if they can catch something unexpectedly new, but given the audience Toonami has now and airing late at night, it's probably better to announce changes ahead of time. If people don't know about what's going to air ahead of time, there's a good chance that they'll miss it because they can't stay up that late due to needing to go to work, hanging out with friends, etc. This is more of an issue with their new shows rather than shorts, but in my opinion, it's better to let people in on anything new ahead to time so that you can potentially grab more of an audience. Keeping stuff a secret was also probably a lot easier to do back during the original Toonami's prime than it is now too. While I can understand wanting to have surprises or announce new shows when they want to, it's also not that bad to announce new material to the schedule ahead of time.

I wonder if Wakfu could potentially get on Toonami. I could see it on regular Cartoon Network, but later on some of the mature themes and violence might be a bit too much unless the translation is toned down a bit, and they'd probably kill it off during early Saturday morning when the target demographic isn't awake. It could easily work as a TV-PG action on Toonami. It's got two seasons, a bonus episode, and four OVAs set to be dubbed in English, and the team behind it are trying to shop around the show to international broadcasters.

Should they pick the series up, maybe they can get cute and insert their own kind of censor picture(s), like TOM's face with as much of a quantity needed for the censoring.

For record, female nudity is only a problem if there are nipples. If there aren't, it seems to be fine. Kill la Kill seems to have no nipples, even on the blu-ray, so it should pass.

The "Mother & Daughter" scene, however... I'm not sure if that'll get through intact.
