This week, my Awesomenauts avatar is Sentry X-58 the spybot that's disguised as a phone booth. The downside to the disguise is that he's always getting calls in the midst of battle.

Sentry is all about tricks and traps. His default attack is to place floating mines for area control. He can also mark a place and teleport to it anytime; perfect for getting back into the action or when things get hairy. His coolest trick is the ability to fire a massive black hole that sucks enemies in before it explodes. Sentry's hard to play as, but if you get the hang of him, he's a trap master.

This week, my Awesomenauts avatar is Skree the techno-shaman. He puts the mon in technomoncy.

He swiftly floats across the battlefield on his whirling blades, zapping anyone who dares try him with his lightning rod. Dropping his totem, he can make a wall that only he and his allies can pass through. Then there's his strongest attack, launching a big freakin' saw blade to mulch his opponents before coming back to him like a bladed boomerang. Skree's mostly support, but man does he be tricking you all.

This is my last Awesomenauts avatar: The Scoop of Justice. Scoop is a pistachio-flavored ice cream knight and is the latest Awesomenaut in the game. This hammy, heroic blob was made for new players and it shows because his powers make him very easy to play as.

No more Awesomenauts avatars for 2015. New year, new batch of weekly avatars. To shake things up a little, my avatars for January are going to be from webcomics.

This week, my avatar is Norah Tanner from the webcomic, Agents of the Realm. This webcomic is about a quintet of magical college girls tasked to protect both the world and its sister dimension. I found it a few months ago and and I've been enjoying the characters and art. If you like Magical Girls and diverse casts, then chances are you're going to like this webcomic.

Avatar #5 - Ruff from "Ruff and Reddy"

As my fifth so far, I changed my avatar to Ruff from Ruff and Reddy before Christmas Eve. This icon comes from my favorite moment in the series, when Ruff mutters, "Why can't I learn to keep my big mouth shut?" after giving Reddy the idea to push more buttons on a spaceship.

Turner has made clear in recent press releases that the rebranded Boomerang channel will focus on new forms of classic cartoons (to the likes of The Looney Tunes Show and The Tom & Jerry Show). Today, nearly all regards for Ruff and Reddy have disappeared from the animation industry. I would like to see Warner Bros. Animation retrofit the series to become relevant to today's audiences and a great addition to the new Boomerang.

I know it can be done, but only if WB ever cares enough about their other franchises (beyond Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry). Wishful thinking, I guess.

This Dungeons and Dragons-based webcomic is well-loved for its complex plot, character development, and its own brand of sarcastic humor. It's also been going on for hundreds of pages, so the link takes you to the start of the current saga since it's a good jumping on point. However, if you want to read the previous 963 pages, then I'm not stopping you.
