It's not a wrong title, at most it was a case of poor communication. In the end, the issue was that the marketing team was unaware of the new title, and by the time they found out, the marketing materials had already been finalized. It would have been costly to remake everything or even to order a new voice-over for the promos, so they decided it would be easier to change the dubbing title and thus unify the title across all platforms.
All the extra work and modifications...... only for a title translation alteration

Western Europe/Israel: The UK/Western Europe print used by Cartoon Network UK, Cartoon Network Italy, Boing Spain and Cartoon Network Western Europe, and historically also by Cartoon Network Nordic, Cartoon Network Netherlands, Cartoon Network Germany, Cartoon Network France and Cartoon Network Portugal (English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish, European Portuguese and Hebrew audio; at least one episode also for some reason has Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese audio too)
Exactly which is the episode that has Latin American and Brazilian dubs on HBO Max Western Europe?

  • Latin America: The Latin American print seen on Cartoon Network Latin America (English, Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese audio)
  • Australia: The U.S. print used by Cartoon Network USA (only English audio)
  • Western Europe/Israel: The UK/Western Europe print used by Cartoon Network UK, Cartoon Network Italy, Boing Spain and Cartoon Network Western Europe, and historically also by Cartoon Network Nordic, Cartoon Network Netherlands, Cartoon Network Germany, Cartoon Network France and Cartoon Network Portugal (English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Dutch, German, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish, European Portuguese and Hebrew audio; at least one episode also for some reason has Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese audio too)
  • Eastern Europe/CIS: The Eastern European print used by Cartoon Network Eastern Europe, and historically also by Cartoon Network Poland, Cartoon Network CEE and Cartoon Network RSEE; the "Bear Lift" episode uses the Poland/CEE print and not the RSEE print (English, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Croatian, Slovene and Russian audio, plus Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian voice-overs)
  • Turkey/Greece/Cyprus: The MENA print used by Cartoon Network MENA and to some extent also Cartoon Network Arabic and Cartoon Network Turkey (English, Turkish and Greek audio, and hidden Arabic audio too)
  • Southeast Asia: The Asia-Pacific print used by Cartoon Network Asia/Vietnam and possibly also Cartoon Network India, Cartoon Network HD+ India, Cartoon Network Pakistan, Cartoon Network Japan and Cartoon Network Korea; it was historically also used by Cartoon Network Australia and probably also Cartoon Network Philippines (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai, Indonesian and Malay audio, and maybe also the Vietnamese voice-over in the future once HBO Max launches in Vietnam)
I have the idea that the HBO Max prints are at the normal pitch. I've seen a video of it from iView on Discord, and on top of the customary ABC bug for iView titles, it's pure distilled PAL.

Actually, European copies of HBO Max animated linear titles even are kept at the original NTSC speed. At least, new episodes / series from CN and Cartoonito that were thrown on the service after May 2024 seem to be the case, as I noticed they are moving a bit slower than how it is watching them on TV. Examples I saw are for Bugs Bunny Builders and Tiny Toons Looniversity. I am not kidding.

I guess that if the classics will be added here, they will be kept in PAL pitch but the speed will be unaltered. We will see.

Most CN and Cartoonito shows on the platform in Europe are in PAL speed, though many of them are pitch-corrected, some are supposed to be in PAL speed, and others have PAL speed-up. But here's a list of titles that I'm pretty sure are in NTSC speed and pitch on HBO Max in Europe:
  • Batwheels (all episodes)
  • Meet the Batwheels (all episodes)
  • Bugs Bunny Builders (all episodes)
  • Bugs Bunny Builders: Hard Hat Time (all episodes)
  • Krypto Saves the Day! (all episodes)
  • Jessica's Big Little World (all episodes)
  • Tiny Toons Looniversity (all episodes)
  • Tiny Toons Looniversity: Spring Beak
  • Regular Show: The Lost Tapes (all episodes)
  • Craig Before the Creek
  • We Baby Bears (season 2)
  • Craig of the Creek (season 6)
  • Teen Titans Go! (season 9 and beyond)
  • Jellystone! (season 3)
  • Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai (all episodes)
As for the classics, I am 100% certain that you'll get all of them in PAL speed and most of them in PAL pitch. That's the current situation in Western Europe.

What happened with WBB on iView is basically the copies WBD sent to the ABC that are still in PAL. With HBO Max, WBD can use NTSC at their own will.

And WBD chose to provide pitch-corrected PAL prints for We Bare Bears to HBO Max customers throughout Europe. They also did that with the first season of We Baby Bears but not the second one.

Well yeah. Only the newer episodes are speed-corrected, mostly the ones added after the "Max" rebrand in 2024 plus some more recent ones before that.

"My Clique" (season 1 episode 12).

Thanks

But We Bare Bears (plus Baby Bears) never aired on CN CEE in PAL pitch. By the time WBB premiered back in 2015, the EMEA masters of the episodes produced at the time were merely just speed-altered to 25 fps and nothing more. Only Warner Bros Animation episodes/specials were still ocasionally PAL-pitched (and sometimes even to this day they are, like how the whole season 5 of Looney Tunes Cartoons ended up with sped-up audio on CN CEE), along with few third-party acquisitions, but Cartoon Network Studios productions that premiered in Europe after 2016 had the audio pitch intact. The last official CN original to be PAL-sped here was probably S6.2 of Regular Show.

I think CN UK started using pitch-corrected copies around 2015.

Yeah, it was around 2015 everywhere in Europe when the CN shows that were normally in PAL audio started being pitch-corrected on the latest episodes. CEE included, it all started with S1.3 of Steven Universe in May of that year.

It already started feeling and hitting different from the usual viewing experience I got used to on CN, but it became the hardest when Fast Production Film was ordered to take over the Romanian dubbing of all the CN originals, ruining the flavour of the previous dub casts for the shows...

Relatively meaningless, but Boomerang HD shuts down on Sky satellite (as satellite costs and capacity is higher), being replaced by Boomerang SD, while remaining so on HD and Internet-powered Sky Glass and Sky Stream.

It's either a WBD decision or a Sky one, since obviously "easy to install" Stream and Glass are the Sky more accessible standard products now, and infrastructure- and cost-wise a fraction of Sky on satellite.
Some HD channels have already left.

I thought I would post it even here.

This makes CN UK HD the only British WBD HD kids channel left on Sky satellite, while CN, Boomerang and even Cartoonito are all in HD on Sky Stream and Glass

While Boomerang and Cartoonito are on the sidelines, so much so they went SD only.

It's kind of like in Germany, where both channels are in SD only via satellite, while they are in HD on Sky Go, Sky Stream and WOW.

In addition to the family-themed promo, Cartoon Network WE and CEE have also added family-themed fillers now.

On satellite only, they are HD on Sky Stream and Sky Glass, which are the "real thing", these days

Here this is the case for Boomerang (also on Now) and, as @themidnightlore pointed out, the Nickelodeon's and some other kids channels.

(I have NOW anyway)

Cartoon Network CEE/WE is promoting the Climate Champions app with a brand new promo.... again.....

....which also mentions a plug-in/add-in for the Roblox Game On platform

(They tied the two apps together for a campaign)

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
