Various shonen anime on Toonami, from DBZ to fare like Fullmetal Alchemist, are action cartoons that Yu-Gi-Oh really does not resemble in any meaningful sense. Hence why it's no wonder the powers that be are not interested.

Yu-Gi-Oh discussion is banned from this thread. Further posts about it or the debate about it will be deleted on sight without exception.

Colleagues,

so uh, who here is excited for for kai and the final act? i loved the various versions of dragon soul so i'm hoping funimation gives toonami the dvd/bluray ones and not the one that aired on nicktoons. and those who never saw the final act are in for a treat. the pacing is off for the first five episodes and most of inuyasha and kogas new skills become obsolete soon after they receive them, but other than that its a great sendoff for the the series. the fact that it has no filler(there's a episode with shippo that i'm not sure if it was in the manga) makes it one of the best seasons of inuyasha. and the new voice actors who replaced kagome and sesshomarus old ones did a fantastic job. kudos to whoever casted them.

I'm pretty sure DBZ Kai is open. I could handle tomorrow's thread if necessary, but if anyone has a real interest in volunteering & committing to the series that's cool.

Sorry for the double post, but Toonami has unveiled the December film line-up - which includes the final two episodes of Hellsing Ultimate!

Also, they'll be airing the second Fullmetal Alchemist film, and the first Dragon Ball Z Broly film.

Awesome for those who'd been following along with Hellsing to get this reward.

Surprising that we're getting double features this time around. I'll re-watch Summer Wars, enjoyed it last year.

Both Evangelions I'll likely skip, as well as Akira which I've seen a small handful of times.

Have yet to see 'any' Broly feature, so I will tune in for that. Also watching Star of Milos as I've not seen that either.

I'll spend most of my time in Hyoerspace with Toonami! -- Hey, it was put as "Hyoerspace" so... it really must be called that.

It is nice to hear that the last two episodes of Hellsing Ulitmate will air.I mostly want to see the Hellsing episodes,DBZ movie,and Akira.For some reason I expected a Bleach movie to air as well,but what can you do.

Good. DBZ Movie 8 is one of the good ones, and FMA Sacred Star of Milos is a stellar effort from BONES for my money. Best action available from them short of Sword of the Stranger (relicense this, somebody!). The reruns are all worthy too, & glad to see Akira in particular isn't a one-shot deal.

That whole Hellsing situation is weird. At least they worked it out in the end.

Awesome to see they finally sorted out the Hellsing Ultimate situation! And we're actually getting a DBZ movie that's never aired on Toonami before, which is an added plus, as well as the other FMA movie.

Had a feeling at least one of the Evangelion movies would repeat, but both together is pretty cool. Summer Wars and Akira were the two films I was expecting to return from last year, though I wonder how many Shirley Temple infomercials we'll see this year for the latter, hahaha...

Overall, a really exciting lineup with something to watch nearly every week.

Hm. Never saw the first 8 Hellsing Ultimate episodes, didn't care for Summer Wars, have DBZ Movie 8 and Akira on DVD. The only ones I'll probably watch this time are the FMA and Evangelion movies, which I'll probably DVR.

The whole situation with Hellsing Ultimate is pretty strange, but at least they were able to work it out so that the last two episodes could air on Toonami. That's good for all of the people who enjoyed it. I like how they're able to do double features this year. I'm glad that they're reairing Summer Wars. I would have preferred Trigun Badlands over Akira, but I'm not surprised that they went with the later since it's considered a classic and I think it did pretty well ratings wise last year. Still, I'll watch Summer Wars again, although I'll probably skip Akira. I'll definitely check out the second FMA movie. I've never really cared for DBZ, but I might check out the movie for the heck of it. I'll probably skip the EVA movies though. They were pretty good and all, but they didn't really capture my attention that much.

Otherwise, since Summer Wars last aired I've acquired it on DVD, I'm not too crazy about the DBZ movie, and I hope watching this FMA movie won't feel as weird as watching the last one did.

Good to see they managed to work out the Hellsing Ultimate situation in a few weeks. Interesting to see the first Broly movie on there, but after their last random DBZ movie (which they've already played more than once), it won't be surprising for them to choose any one of them. A shame they don't have Battle of Gods yet, but since Kai does start tonight, it's not too disappointing.

they had those last two hellsing episodes all along. the idea struck them at the last minute that they could pass them off as movies due to their length. and since they only had two non-repeats they could give the illusion of having just as much new movie content as last year. probably informed funi of their plans later. heheehe, the sneaky bastahs.

as i predicted the two new features ended up being films i so long ago. milos doesn't hold a candle to shamballa and feels like it belongs to a lesser series. the broly movie has some awful comedy and takes too long to get to the action. the character of broly and his fight with the z warriors is okay as far as dbz standards go but also kinda overrated imo. won't watch the other movies again because they don't have much going for them besides the visuals and action. disappointing month.
